CYBERBULLYING
Cyberbullying. The old way of bullying is changing with the times. And now, according to some people, it's worse. "Cyberbullying is when a child, preteen or teen, is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones. It has have a minor on both sides, or at least have been instigated by a minor against another minor." July 7th, at the Billerica Public Library, Alternative House's Maria Crooker will speak about bullying, cyberbullying and it's affects on parents and their kids. This is one of the area's longest-running charity golf tournaments.
Location: Green Meadow Golf Club, 59 Steele Road, Hudson, NH
Starting Time: 7:30 AM - Shotgun Start
Includes: 18 Holes of Golf with cart, Breakfast & BBQ Lunch, Contests, Raffles, Prizes, Golf Balls, Goodie Bag and more.

Yankee Doodle will be having a fundraiser on Aug 1, 2009 at the Billerica Moose Lodge at 12:00 PM.
The Moose are kind enough to hold a special concert event to help support YD. And a special treat Billerica's own John Murphy and his band
The Journey Show www.journey-captured.com will be performing.Tickets are $15.00 Tickets are being sold at the Billerica Moose Lodge 978-528-3170 and by contacting the Yankee Doodle committee www.yankeedoodlehomecoming.org also at The Town Hall and Enterprise Bank in Pinehurst.
Tickets are limited !!! Also the Moose will be selling refreshments.... hot dogs, homburgs etc. Great event for the family !

AUTOMATED TRASH UPDATE
(1) New trash carts are being delivered around town.
(2) The new carts should not be used until July 6.
(3) Old trash barrels may be used for recyclables or yard waste ... or
(4) Residents can RECYCLE old plastic and metal trash barrels.
Bring Clean Barrels only to DPW Highway Yard Drop-Off on:
Saturday June, 27 10 am to 2pm

Unclean barrels will not be accepted.
(5) Official Trash Overflow bags are sold at O’Connor Hardware and Market Basket.
Bags are sold in sets of 5, $10.00 for five bags.
